It's exactly like the picture shows. It's a piece of mesh with loops that attach to what are essentially command strip hooks. For my dog, it seems to be yet another thing for her to chew on, but it has kept her out of the kitchen so far. It's annoying to attach and remove frequently, so it works best in places that aren't heavy traffic areas, and that's the main issue with using it in the kitchen.Overall, it's not a perfect solution, but it's cheap. I imagine it would work better for a baby than a dog, and I can't imagine it doing anything for a cat.
