The hydraulic rams are somewhat annoying to operate, in that the frame of the ramps kind of get in the way of the lever... but they're strong and lift cars perfectly. I actually used two of these under the fronts of the car's frame rails to lift it high enough to have the wheels off it and be able to work under it (handy when you're pulling the engine, dropping the subframe, etc.). The ramps have safety pins, Once you raise them to the desired height, you can stick the pins through them to lock them so that even if the rams fail, they won't drop. The ramps are also *big*. Even before they're raised, they're a lot bigger than the plastic Autozone ones we're all used to. To get my (low-to-the-ground) Toyota 86 onto them, I had to use a jack to lift it a bit, just to be able to get these things under the wheels.
