We decided to just get a small counter top over when my over went out. After using that for a few months, and lamenting about needing another cabinet, my husband suggested getting rid of the stove/oven appliance altogether and just get a stove top over a cabinet. But I thought this would be quicker, easier, and cheaper than that. So glad we went this route! We have it over a large cabinet with a nice butcher block on top. The induction 2 burner range sits right on top, but when not in use, I keep it propped up against the wall behind. Great way to have additional counter space. And this thing is powerful! Love the convenience of boiling water super quickly then allowing the burners to cool down, which is also pretty quick, and putting it away. I also love that there's a button to lock all button on each individual side, as well as a timer button. My only two very small gripes are i if I accidentally set something too close to the button or 3, even drop water on that button. And that locks the others, then the machine takes that as I've held the button down and will turn the lock off or the whole burner off (depending on which button I have accidentally touched or dropped something on). And when the timer goes off, it turns the burner off. One of the burners finally quit. This has been our primary source of daily cooking. Never had an issue. We have cooked small and large meals on this cooktop.
