Grill weight handle melted, making a horrible smell. It gets uneven hot spots. I really want to hate this, but I can't. It's actually really great, and I've tried other microwave grilling tools. This is the only one where the cookware is self-contained, separate from the unit, making it easier to clean. This is the only one I've found with a flat-bottomed cook surface, which makes it great for flat pan cooking like eggs or browning onions. Comes with two cooking dishes, meaning I can cook more than one thing before needing to wash up. Since it's a microwave, with the food absorbing most of the energy very quickly, I can actually cook one-pan dishes far faster than the stove, and with finer control over heat and time. No joke, beef demi-glace in a hurry, which sounds blasphemous. I really didn't want to like this, still don't, but it's actually pretty great.
