Some like "Molly bolts" and "Toggle bolts" are quite secure in hollow walls, but useless in solid walls. Some like "Tapcon", "RedHead, and "Strike Anchors" only work in solid walls. These DuoPower plug anchors are light weight anchors that will function in both solid or hollow walls. The manufacturer says they adapt to almost any material, or material thickness. They are a great improvement over plastic anchors. I have occasionally had various problems over the years with nearly all anchor types. The Fischer DouPower anchors have so far, been very well behaved. Consult the instructions for the best results.
