It can be tough to learn at the beginning but once everyone starts to understand then it's a lot of fun. My kiddos age in range from 3 (played go fish with the cards) to 9 (I didn't use this with teens). The older kids are competitive so they enjoyed playing it as a game to win. We get a lot of conversation out of this game, too.
