The quality is amazing; very thick, not flimsy, and not easily breakable. The ring is loose enough to easily move and rotate, but stiff enough to stay in the position you want it in. I didn't use the adhesive since I have a silicon case and had to use glue, so I would assume the adhesive works well, but simply not for rubber-y phone cases (which is mentioned in the product description).
