Soy flashpoint I believe is 180-185 add dye while melting and add fragrance right after removing (175-180) from heat and stir 2-3minutes to bond fragrance and wax. **Q: Can the melting pot be placed directly on a stove to heat it?** A: No. Use double boiling method. Use a large pot of boiling water then place the melting pitcher inside. I suggest not using black handled ones or take it off. **Q: I’m new to candle making, what are the glue dots for?** A: They are for holding the wick in place in the container. **Q: How many candles can you make with this kit?** A: It depends on the size of candle you want to make. I was able to make 4 (4oz) candles with the wax provided.
