I stumbled across Xylitol. YAY! It has become my new favorite sweetener, but don't use too much. It does have a laxative effect at a certain point, so you may have to play around at first to find your tolerance level.Beware of other brands that fail to mention their xylitol is derived from corn and made in China, which is NOT listed anywhere on their packaging. I have two 2.5 lb bags of the other brand, which will be going in the garbage. The laxative effect from the other brand is way worse. I will order more of this Xyla brand!! It is not super sweet like stevia and was no after taste. It is natural from birch trees this is the xylitol to use that is better for your health than processed sugar. I wish the cost was lower and you MUST keep it out of the reach of dogs. I like this product, but there are many packets in the box that don't have enough product in the packet. Some packets have a normal amount in them, enough to sweeten a cup of coffee and other packets have almost no product in them. This has happened with my last two orders and I've read other reviews about this issue as well. They need to fix their quality control.
