Review: This is a great product. Took me about 45 minutes to assemble ... - This is a great product. Took me about 45 minutes to assemble by myself. Would recommend a buddy tho as the pull up bar attachment can be kinda of tricky. Ignore bad reviews from idiots that say bars are warped. They probably completely tightened some areas when you're a only supposed to hand tighten til assembly is complete. I left the push-up handles off obviously because they interefere with putting weights on there. Slapped 2 45lbs and the 80lbs Omni heavy strike bag on for a total counter weight of 170lbs and I weigh 235 can jump on pull-up bar without any adverse effects. Overall great pull-up bar and heavybag stand.
Review: Like others have said it does what it's supposed to - So I bought this as part of desertcart's Cyber Monday sale, at $89.99, which was a pretty good value. In my opinion this is definately a good or even above average stand. It has some neat features such as the ability to adjust the height of the bag to 3 pre set levels (or possibly 2, I'll describe this more later...), the pullup bar and pushup handles and also the rubber/plastic caps on the feet so it has a little traction and doesn't scuff up walls quite as much. The construction is metal tubing so it's not too heavy, which is a plus while setting up, but thats's about where my compliments end. From here on I'm mostly going to be pretty negative, so please bare with me for a few moments. My biggest issue with this product is in the construction/set up of it. To be blunt, putting it together was a pain in the (fill in with your favorite synonym for butt), your experience may vary, but the pieces I got were not aligned properly so holes did not match up, some were not big enough and some of the threading on screws was covered with little bubbles which made them unuseable. Everlast however was responsive and was able to send replacement parts for most of the issues I was having free of charge, so there's that at least. Puttin this together took about 2.5 hours, a set of wratcheting socket wrenches, a hammer and a good bit of my patience. If you are reading this before you put it together, please do yourself a favor and do not even attempt to use the tool they include (except the allen wrench, which is unavoidable...) you will double the amount of time you are spending. I had to use a hammer to align the rounded support legs tot he main verticle post and feet because as it was orignially sent, the holes on the feet and supports were about 4 inches off, so I sat there pounding the supports to get them aligned properly. Also, while I mentioned the pullup bar and pushup handles as a positive earlier, I didn't bother to install them, the pull up bar will not work in my basement (ceiling is too low) and I've never been a fan of pushup bars. Also as someone has pointed out the locaiton of the weigt peg on the rear leg (behind the main post) is positioned poorly, but I suppose somoene thought that was a space saving measure. Lastly as I mentioned before there are "3" pre set levels for your bag, a high setting which has the bag around eye level for me (I'm 6' 2") for punching, the middle is about waist/leg level for your low kicks and the 3rd is on the ground for ground and pound or situps. I don't know if I can really consider that last setting something separate, but I guess if you really like that and don't want to just unhook your bag it's a nice option. My last issue is the same issue I have with all heavy bag holders, in that it limits your ability to strike from different angles, and this is no different, even more so when the pushup bars are on, but you can't really circle around and work on your movement too much without stepping on something or hitting something you didn't intend to. So to sum this all up, as I said at the begining, for it's intended purpose of holding a heavy bag while you strike it, it does it's job, but it's bells and whistles don't really work for me (your enjoyment may vary...) and was has some defects in workmanship that make setup painful, but once that's done you don't have to do it again. It's not the best i've seen or used, but not the worst either.

The rear weight pin is so close to the main post only 25lb Olympic style plates will fit and even with these they still rub the main post. 25lb per corner plus the bag base bag is not enough to keep it stable. I'm going to add another 25lb at each corner for a total of 150lb base weight. The packaging leaves a lot to be desired, parts were loose, packing straps broke, parts were scratched from shifting around inside the box. The hand platforms for push ups are a joke, not stable at all, the pull up bar while nice, causes the frame to rock around. Overall if I had it to do again I would get the heavy bag speed bag combo.
