Not sure about cadmium. **Q: Do these plates have a number 20 engraved on the bottom In addition to the words β€œmade in France?”** A: No, I just checked one of mine, and it has the words "MADE IN FRANCE" and a trademark symbol with the brand name "DURALEX" on the topside/inside of the plate, but the number 20 does not appear. Also, I do not know if this means anything to you, but you used the word engraved, which to me suggests lettering that has the letter shapes formed by removing some of the glass, but the letter shapes seem to project up from the surface of the plate. I also noticed that the plate diameter seems to be closer to 5 1/4" than 5 3/8". **Q: does anyone who bought these want to sell me one?** A: No I love these plates **Q: what is the diameter of this plate?
