These gloves were a size 9 and he could hardly get them around his wrist. I returned them and ordered an XL which arrived quickly, along with a quick reimbursement for the one's I returned. While the XL was still quite tight, once he had them on they fit snug but well. He liked the quality of the gloves so much and the gripping action on the palm and fingers so he kept them and uses them often. I suggest whatever your normal size, to order at least the next size up. I ordered a box of small gloves which normally fit me perfectly, and they too were too snug so I exchanged mine for a larger size as well. I'm still very pleased with the quality of the gloves and plan on ordering them again.
