So you lose the bluetooth and noise cancelling functions of the headphones?** A: when you use this, you are connected through the cable instead of bluetooth. You can still turn on or off the noise cancelling though. **Q: Does plugging the ClearMic microphone in override the existing microphone on the headset itself?** A: Yes it does over rides existing microphone. Also turn off / by-pass the Bluetooth function. It works well for the money. **Q: Is it possible to know the diameter of the exit of the cable?** A: 2.5mm out of the headset ( or into the headset...) - 3.5mm to connecting device ( iPhone. IPod or whatever...) why Bose went with a 2.5mm beats me, but the guys at headset buddy built their mic correctly.By the way, the mic is awesome. no one can tell that I am on a headset and it works GREAT! get it. you will love it. **Q: Does it really cancel all noise (f.ex in a loud cafe)? I'm using ModMic 5 and very underwhelmed by noise cancelation.** A: Due to the nature of the tech, the noise cancellation works a lot better on low frequency sounds. Meaning any rumbling noises and the undertones of people talking(especially the undertones of your own voice). With noise cancellation on, you will hear only the upper tones (very noticable when you are talking with the headphones on, because you dont hear your voice resonating in your head).
