It contains the stated percentage of hypericin, as opposed to the green cap which is the powdered plant (stem, leaf and flowers). If it's the hypericin that gives the benefit then it's beneficial to use the standardized version, but if it's a combination of other micronutrients found in the plant, then the green bottle is preferable.
