This one is about confidence. A young boy named Leo doesn’t feel confident about his skills. He thinks he’s not a good artist or a good basketball player. His parents are very supportive and encouraging. He feels loved at home. His mother helps him with his art project to build a spaceship. His father helps him do some basketball drills to gain confidence in his basketball game. Leo also stands up for a boy who is being teased who is on the basketball team. This friendship leads to a nice partnership where they both practice their basketball skills together. Leo is feeling confident and gaining skills to help him in school and sports. This book is a nice reminder for even us adults! As a child I was extremely shy and lacked confidence myself.
