They were the type where you hammer down the middle section of the under part of snap that is supposed to squash to hold the other part. (doesn't make much sense, but if you tried it, you know.) Those were 9.99 for 7 snaps, installation tools extra. The installation tools did not work. The receiver part of snap collapsed and did not attach to the fabric. This is a good value for so many snaps as well as all tools needed except for a hammer.
