I have a 250 lb tub** A: I have a 280 gallon tank and I fill it with about 5lbs of salt when I do a refresh then just top it up every time the indicator falls to low/yellow. Note the same indicator shows low/yellow when the temperature is low too so make sure the water is warm before you use it as a salt level reading. It’s very helpful though and the system works really well. Much better than filling the tub with synthetic chemicals. **Q: Would this be safe to use with an extension cord?** A: I currently have an extension cord running to mine, however I will run an electrical box in conduit in the spring, just so I dont have a cord running across my patio.
