All I did was locate the studs for support of my medium large microwave, add a shelf that I had cut to match my oak cabinets, and voila! I have the counter space I needed for preparing meals.

These brackets are perfect for folding wall table as I used them for in this picture of a wall console I made for my boat. They are strong and well built. Thick stainless steel , not some thin cheap tinny junk, but old school, beefy and well crafted. As a building contractor for over 30 years, I am used to evaluating hardware items and these brackets get an A+ from me.
