It has maintained its non-stick coating and hasn't peeled or flaked (even though I know the kids are using metal utensils on it when I'm not looking). It has two corners opposite each other that are formed into pouring spouts for liquids which comes in handy when you are doing things like searing a steak in melted butter and then want to pour the butter back onto the steak for serving. The manufacturer says it is dishwasher safe, but the manufacturer also doesn't recommend it, so we've only used the soft side of a double sided sponge and dish soap.
