**Q: will this work with my lg tv with digital optical ?**
A: No sorry it does not have an optical input, it does have stereo 3.5mm input for auxiliary. meaning a headphone jack output or RCA type outputs could be used with an adapter.

**Q: How do we get product support for this device?  I seem to have run into a dead end.  It worked fine for a few months.  Then it disconnected.**

A: METHOD 1 – Connecting using the USB port
CONNECTING TO YOUR WI-FI NETWORK
1) Turn the unit ON.
2) Connect your iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad 
to the device using your USB cable (not 
included). (See Diagram 1)
Make sure your iPod Touch, iPhone or 
iPad must be connected to a local Wi-Fi 
network.
3) Quickly press the WiFi Setupbutton on 
the back ofthe unit and the LED on the 
front of the unit will begin quickly blinking 
BLUE.
4) A “Share Wi-Fi Settings?” message will 
appear	on the screen of your iPod Touch/ iPhone/iPad You	must push “Allow” 
5) The	RCA AirPlay Speaker will now connect
to your Wi-Fi network. If the connection is 
successful, the LED indicator on the front 
of unit will turn solid BLUE. When this 
happens, you may disconnect your iPod 
Touch/iPhone/iPad.
6) Launch the MUSIC application on your 
iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad. Then, tap the
AirPlay icon and select “RCA RAS1863P 
7) Now you can begin wirelessly streaming 
your music from anywhere that you’re 
connected to your Wi-Fi network
METHOD 2 - Using your Mac or PC to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
1) Turn the unit ON.
2) Press and hold the Wi-Fi Setup button on 
the back of the unit for about 3 seconds 
The source indicator will blink blue quickly.
3) The speaker has now created its own network. On your PC or Mac, go to the wireless 
network settings and select “RCA RAS1863P XXXXXX” from the list of available 
networks.
4) On your PC	or Mac, open a	 browser, such	as Internet Explorer or Safari.
5) In the browser’s address bar, type	http://192.168.1.12
6) The	AirPlay speaker’s configuration screen should appear in the browser window. 
Select “Network Setup” and then select your Wi-Fi network’s name from the “Available 
Network (SSID)” drop-down menu or input it manually (See Diagram 5).
7) Input your network password, if required, and click on the “Apply” button. The source 
indicator on the AirPlay speaker will	now slowly blink blue	 as it is	connecting to your
Wi-Fi network. Once connected, it will turn solid blue.
8) Launch iTunes(version 10.22 or later) and	 click on the AirPlay symbol to select the “RCA RAS1863P XXXXXX” You can now	play music wirelessly	from your
iTunes library

**Q: Can this hook up to my iMac via wifi so I can listen outdoors?**
A: Yes, it is easy. I use Airfoil to route any audio from my iMac to these speakers. If your wifi is strong enough outside, the Airfoil application will just recognize them, and you can send system audio or the audio from any specific application on your Mac.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Disconnections are annoying, bass-heavy, but does the job

Originally bought this to play our sleep sounds at night instead of using the phone speaker. But cutting out at 5am is disruptive to sleep and jarred my wife awake. It disconnected a couple times a night despite being next to the router and near the phone so we scrapped that idea. Repurposed it by using it in my shop to play music in the back kitchen. It does the job, it's able to go quite loud. The audio is bass-heavy but not horrible at higher volumes. Still disconnects 1-2 times a day and I have to change the audio-out on my laptop back to AirPlay manually. I bought two of these and they both had the same issue so I'd guess it's not an isolated issue. But they're cheap!
