I bought this machine after having a cheaper air station that required I flip a lever to secure the hose to the valve stem. It was way more difficult and I seemed to lose a lot more air than screwing in the hose as in the Kensun machine. In fact, this was one of the reasons I purchased the Kensun because my former air station plastic latch for the valve stem broke and the cost for the part and shipping was 50% the cost of the air station machine (with no instructions on line about how to install the new latch). I have used the Kensun twice and find it vastly superior (it would be even better if there was a way to set it to quit when it reached the right air pressure. **Q: can i use an extention cord to reach the wall plug** A: Yes, no problem using an extension cord to reach a wall plug. You'll almost always need one since the 110V cord is pretty short. **Q: does this unit have battery built inside, which means you can use it without connecting to any power supply?** A: It works on both AC/DC only. There is no internal battery. Very happy with it ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple, compact, does its job - nothing fancy *by Z***D on October 13, 2019* I have looked to buy a simple home compressor as I am sick and tired of finding coins, finding a working compressor at a gas station (where dubious characters tend to circle you as you inflate your tires) for our 3 family cars. This one had a reasonable price and positive reviews. My experience so far has been OK so far and I would very likely buy it again, as it does serve the purpose I bought it for in the first place. The good: 1. Small, compact, easy to store and transport. 2. Simple, very easy to operate. 3. Appears to be a sturdy and reliable little compressor - although I have only used it once so take this "guess" from me with a grain of salt. At least it was reliable doing my 4 tires, so far. The not-so-good: 1. The power cord is short - understandably it cannot be very long, that would go against its compact nature. But it could be just a little longer, I guess. My ease of use score was also affected by the short hose to connect to the tire - again I understand the balance between making the whole thing very compact, which doesn't allow super long cords and hoses, but I would prefer the balance to slightly shift toward greater length/against compactness just a bit. 2. It has a DC and AC power button, I have only operated it through AC, and I don't see any connector, adapter, and obvious ways to connect to the cigarette light (DC) connector. I don't intend to operate the unit outside of my garage, which has AC outlets (I have to use a rather long extension cord for that - see previous bullet point) so this is not a deal-breaker for me, but if you plan on using it powered through your cigarette light DC/12 V connection, then I'd explore how that works as it is not obvious to me. 3. The scale goes from 0 PSI to 120 PSI, in which the 20 tick marks are shown (0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120). For my car's tires the target is 35 PSI, which was tricky because the tick marks between 30 and 40 are so small and even 30 itself is something in-between 20 and 40, so a lot of judgment call is needed. At first, I mistook 30 for 35 somehow and ended up way under-inflating the tires, but then I figured it out.
