Good otherwise!! - I have purchased from Dibosh before, and was very satisfied every time. This product did not change that! 2 things stand out, 1 - the pot has 3 small dents 1 will be easily fixed with minimum effort, the others are small and I will not bother with them. 2 - the copper line coming out of the tower and in to the condenser was bent at a 45 degree angle. It does not look pinched, but i will test this out carefully to be sure. BOTH OF THESE ISSUES WERE SHIPPING RELATED! I can not, and will not blame the manufacturer for this, it was all due to some rough handling with shipping. It was obvious that when this left the factory great care was given to pack it up, but you cant predict how it is handled between seller and buyer. Other than that, it looks great, easy instructions, and no parts missing. I kind of know a few things about this kind of stuff, so it looks like it is ready to go! Welds look good, craftsmanship is better than expected. The pot is not as thick as I would have liked, but it will do the job fine. If there is an issue when I run this, I will update this, but I do not expect any problems. Review: Decent value for price - I can't give it 4 stars because the condenser is super cheaply made and the overall thickness of the stainless seems to be as thin as the manufacturer could get away with. I modified this to be an essential oil still so can't speak to it's effectiveness at distilling spirits. I didn't use the condenser. But so far it seems to take the heat from an oversized burner with no issues. I wouldn't want to run it out of water under flame though. Basically, for the price, it's nice to find a moderately sized true stainless boiling vessel. The lid design is great and sturdy. Close to 4 stars except the condenser. I recommend stainless heat exchangers (multi-tube). Add copper scrubbers if you want and/or just properly age your stuff. ### ⭐ Discoloration in the spirit. *by U***W on September 30, 2023* First- I cleaned the stool twice with vinegar sand then water TWICE A before using it. It all came out clear. My first run of mash started out clear but eventually turned yellow/tan. It was not scorched- nothing in the column was scorched- no scorched flavor. I stopped the run. Cleaned the still a third and fourth time and ran it again a well out so later. Same thing. This time with particles floating. Not happy. Turned off propane- went and got my old condenser and it turned out clear as water. Something on the column is bad and I am super disappointed. Of course it’s too late to return. Please buy a better condenser column. The pot itself is great. No leaks and the clamping is wonderful. The column is the problem.
