If you are planning to weigh your pet directly on this scale's 16" x 19" platform, please note that this platform size will comfortably accommodate most small/medium framed pets up to 50-60 pounds. For larger dogs/pets, you can simply use your kennel and place it on the scale's platform. Next - press the TARE button to remove the displayed weight of the kennel. Then place the pet into the kennel while balancing the kennel on the scale's platform. Once the dog/pet is settled in the center of the kennel - the displayed weight will show only the weight of the pet. Keeping track of your dog/pet's weight will enable you to discover any minor changes that would indicate a possible health concern. Any weight change can be a warning sign that your pet's health is in danger. That is why investing in this ZIEIS digital pet scale will help you maintain a healthy weight for your pet and alert you to any illness or injury.
