Will the pins go through the plastic without a pin hole (in case you want more than 6 pins) ?** A: Gauge...not sure, imagine the plastic something like a comforter/bedsheet comes in (those thick plastic things that zip up). I would say it is about 2x to 3x that thickness. As far as the pins, if your try real hard they'd go through, what I did since I cut them was to heat up a finishing nail with a lighter, match or torch and then push it through the plastic like a hot knife through butter. Makes a nice sealed hole for the pins. HTH. **Q: My door's handle is on the right side, will this still work? The pictures show it on a door with the knob on the left.** A: Yes, it will absolutely work with the door knob on the right. The enclosed velcro attachments are what secure this item to the door, so it can be used with Right or Left sided door knobs! **Q: How much i get at 1 order. If i order 1 piece of this item, how much i will get in the pack?** A: It is a set of 2, so there were 2 pieces, one piece per corner of couch. We ordered 2 sets for a total of 4 pieces so we could cover all 4 corners of the couch. **Q: Travel friendly?** A: It can be done. It will require unscrewing 6 little tacks and taking the shield and tacks with you. You don't need to use the velcro fasteners at all. It sticks to the glass just like a vinyl cling. This keeps our dogs from scratching up the wood when they see someone or are impatient with opening the door. They were really scratching up the wood. I highly recommend this product. They've focused primarily on the ends of my new couch. I've tried several completely useless tactics, like redirecting them to the scratching post, cat claw covers, and even guilt. None of this worked, so I ordered these pieces of plastic for the ends of the couch. They're not difficult to install, but the pins are cheap, and two of the heads broke off while I was screwing them in. The company included extras, which was appreciated. The pins screw into the fabric and cushioning of your couch. I'm still weighing the fact that I placed 12 purposeful holes in the couch, vs the ones the cats made scratching. The cats have been deterred from scratching that area of the couch, and aren't smart enough to realize they can move two inches over and continue their path of destruction. Hopefully they won't figure this out anytime soon. In the meantime I am weighing the benefits of living with an old lady plastic covered intact couch vs a shredded expensive cat toy. My only real concern with this product is 1) the holes I put in the fabric with the pins and 2) if my cats will chew the pins off, and cause a huge problem when they eat them or we step in them. They did manage to chew 6 buttons off of a tufted chair, so this is a real possibility.
