Q: Why are there two heat settings when heater works on thermostat setting please ?

I think it sets the heat preference for thermostat if youre talking about when it clicks on the dial. So for example: on the first dial setting it turns on when the room drops below 18° / 21° and the next setting turns on and off to maintain about 24° / 26° roughly. There might even be a 3rd but haven't played with it that far. The two switches on the power button on the side side (|) and (||) I believe are to do with your power voltage. The first consumes/runs at a lower power rate (which I use as I run mine through an extention lead) but would probably use 2nd switch (||) if I plugged it into the mains. It does explain in the manual which comes with the radiator. I don't think I done the best job in trying to explain sorry

Q: Can it be used in a bathroom?

Would not use in bathroom as electric and water/mist don't go well

Q: How near to the ceiling can this be mounted?

use mine on the floor and is just great
