Anything smaller and the thigh seam would be too tight. There is some room left in the waist, waist is very stretchy. They don’t appear to fall down but I will find out more when I skate in them. I’m sure it will vary based on what pants you wear under them. Excited to try these out! Update: very stretchy, comfortable and light. Didn’t feel like I was wearing anything extra. Cushioned my falls for the most part. Depends on your body shape and how you fall, it could go either way but I do like the padding. For reference, I’m an adult, figure skating for decades and currently doing double jumps. These are not just for beginners, I see lots of experienced elite athletes wearing these at the club, along with some beginners. Impacts add up, it’s nice to have some protection.
