My kid loves mountain biking as it makes gear shifting faster and safer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by R***O on 19 May 2025* Out of the box this shifter works fantastic. Installation was a breeze. It comes with the shift wire already attached. The right grip, brake lever and old shifter have to be removed, usually with Allen wrenches 3, 4 or 5 mm. You might get lucky and the old housing can be used but be aware that old housing can be compromised with kinks or corrosion. So, as earlier stated the shifter operates nicely shifting through 7 gears smoothly. My only reservation is that my experience with this type of push pull shifter as compared to twist grip is that over a period of years the lubricant inside dries and causes failure or at the very least balky shifting.
