In fact, mixing it with water wrecked the deep cleansing and makeup removing effectiveness of it. Once all my makeup AND eye makeup was dissolved, I could just wipe everything off with a damp cloth and then rinse my face in warm water. Presto. I didn't have oily skin, but the woman at the counter raved at what a miracle makeup remover it was, so I tried it, and it proved to be everything she'd said. Naturally, Lancome discontinued the product and I could never find anything like it. I was able to find more on the eBay and hoarded what I could find, but eventually, I ran out, and no one seemed to offer anything like it...until now. FARMACY NATURAL MAKEUP REMOVER IS THE BOMB! A little goes a long way. It looks like a cream, but it liquefies on contact with my skin. I go all over my face (and eyes!) in light circular motions until everything is completely loose and dissolved, and then wipe it all away with a damp cloth. Just like before. Then I rinse, rinse, rinse with warm water. My skin is fresh and clean with no trace of makeup left behind. It completely dissolves long lasting lipstick/lip liner and water proof eye makeup in nothing flat. No dryness, no redness, no stripping. It's just grand. I am so relieved to have found this product! I recommend it highly...but DON'T mix it with any water until you are ready to remove it from your face. Be sure to use a damp wash cloth to wipe your face before you rinse, otherwise I don't think everything comes off. If needed, after rinsing, if you want to follow up with your regular cleanser, or do a repeat with this cleanser, that would be up to you, but depending on your primer/foundation/powder etc., you shouldn't need to.
