Although there is a good chance that I may have been taxing the electrical system of my vehicle, Sunoon reached out to me, unsolicited, and made sure that they stood behind their product. No, it did not put out as much heat as a hair dryer. But a hair dryer draws as high as 10 Amps at 120VAC! So I expected this to put out about 10% of a hair dryer. No, it wouldn't defrost a windshield alone but it did help get things started until the car warmed up. I wanted it both to defrost the windshield and warm the car. The fan barely blows and only out of half of the outlet. I live in Arizona the windshield is not icy just foggy and it barely cleared a spot where I could lean down to see out. It would never heat the car. I would not recommend this item to anyone.
