Review: Uncommon usage ... - I purchased this roll of tape for a very non-standard reason. I cut out pieces to "install" on the heels of my leather shoes. Leather soled shoes can be very slippery on wet or marble floors. Installation was easy, using a pair of kitchen scissors and a razor cutter, I was able to shape pieces to match the shape of the soles of my shoes in a couple of minutes a pair. So far, they haven't come off and seem to be durable.
Review: Sticks to surface - These treads are very easy to install (except for the paper backing--a little challenging to get off if you don't have fingernails). They grip well and provide a good, non-slip surface. I installed on deck stairs that were a little wet at the time but they adhered well and are still securely in place. The strips are especially easy since they are pre-cut. Would recommend.

**Q: Has anyone tried to staple them to the steps? If so, how do you staple them, ends only, middle & ends or all along the edges?**
A: Why would you staple them?  Instead of putting a grit surface with double sided tape, save yourself the hassle and order Handiramsps aluminum tread.  They are much easier and took me about 30 seconds to install.  ASIN B006T15VZ8

**Q: Has anyone tried sticking this to the bottom of leather-soled dress shoes? Do they hold up well?**
A: No, but that just sounds like a bad idea.  It's like sandpaper on the bottom of your shoes.  You'll end up scratching floors.  They make specific products for leather soled shoes.

**Q: Will this adhere to a garage floor that gets slippery when wet?**
A: If the floor is perfectly clean and dry when you put it down, then probably.  If not, then no.  I have no problem on a wood slanted surface outside that gets frequently wet.  That's actually why I put it out there. My guess is that it would adhere to a horizontal, solid surface as good, if not better than to wood.

**Q: how thick is the tape?**
A: approximately 0.030" ... that's about the thickness of 6 sheets of paper

I purchased this roll of tape for a very non-standard reason. I cut out pieces to "install" on the heels of my leather shoes. Leather soled shoes can be very slippery on wet or marble floors.
