How many teaspoons are in 1 gram?** A: I just found this too: One teaspoon of saffron threads is equivalent to approximately 1/8 teaspoon ground saffron. 1 gram of threads = approx 12 threads = 2 teaspoons of threads = 1 teaspoon crumbled = 1/2 teaspoon powdered Either way, I would carefully add one or two strings at a time. They also say you should soak it first in warm water to get the full flavor of it. All I know is that I went by the recipe and it was WAAAAAY TOO much.
