The cover can protrct from small rain and water, but you can't put in into water in order to preotect your refrigerator. Hope that you can enjoy using it. Has a nice large pocket on the back, and a tighter one on the other end (opposite the power inlet). This model's outer skin is plastic, so their battery pack (ICECO 250Wh) wont "stick" to it like it's bigger bothers have metal outer skins. So the rear pocket is a nice place to put the battery per say, but I'm a tad bit worried about cooling of the battery pack while it's discharging.
