Well... Here’s what I do: I carry this for my dog for easier airport maneuvers. But then I have a regular Small or Medium Sherpa bag that fits inside this colossal bag to fit under the seat. Remember this is part of your carry-on luggage so you are down 1 item already with this. Sherpas are lovely BUT I don’t like carrying them with a 16lb poodle. This bag is great for redistributing weight as well. Just remember there is a dog inside the bag before TSA. The main differences between the G-Train and the G-Train v2 are the color - the original GTrain is red and that the v2 is black; and that the v2 has sewn in fiberglass support rods for structure as well as optional interior rods for added structure. I don’t have any problems with them unzipping But for my own peace of mind I used a small zip tie.
