I bought it to replace a similar single gang socket from another brand that broke apart, and wanted to install something of exceptional build quality. As well as being of solid construction, it's also built with the electrician in mind, with backed-out screws and angled terminals in a row. No messing about trying to get the cpc in the bottom corner with screws facing all different directions.
