I think that is the biggest motivator here for the average person to buy this. This contains polypeptide, which is amazing for the hair. It contains a high concentration of citric acid, and while these things are not advertised on the packaging, they are really good for the hair. This is what I would consider to be a solid choice for a gentle clarifying shampoo. If you have to wash every single day, but for a clarifying wash once a week or every other week, I would say you need something stronger. This only contains one type of sulfate. The other clarifying or cleansing ingredient in this shampoo is very gentle and sulfate free so it’s not going to cleanse as effectively for extremely oily or dirty scalps I found that my hair was getting oily a bit faster than normal and usually I can go longer between washes but on the plus side I did find that my hair was very soft after shampooing with this product, which is rare because usually shampoos make my hair feel rough.
