A: Typically no.  Considered a restraint if patient cannot demonstrate they can independently lock/unlock.

**Q: How does the strap attach to the wheelchair?**
A: By screws that hold the cloth back of the chair. Very good straps.

**Q: Would this work for a child or is it to long**
A: Yes, it will work for a child. It is adjustable and works great for my 65 lb daughter.

**Q: Will this belt click into a car seat belt as well?**
A: I don't understand the question either.  This belt is for a wheel chair - it is not meant to restrain someone in a car accident.  I wouldn't gamble someone's life on the strap, the buckle or the grommet being strong enough to withstand the force of a car accident.
