It works well for the price. I bought it for some turkeys. I am currently using it for some extra heat for my turkeys that live in a shed outside. I live in Alaska so it has been in temperatures as low as -45 degrees. It still works fine it had not problem running. The one thing to keep in mind it you use it in really cold temperatures you will need to tighten the heat bulb in it.
