Soft close function is a real bonus. Review: I overbuild everything, to ridiculous standards. I had high expectations for this door system and wasn't disappointed. It's very easy to install, clear instructions, and the double soft close function is great. Seems appropriately priced, as well. The metal split studs are about as sturdy as one can expect, but still flimsy compared with a stud wall. So what I did was attach 3/4" plywood across the whole wall that this was a part of, and put 1/2" drywall on top of that (you could use 1/4" drywall instead). In hindsight, I wish I would've put drywall on both sides of this. It would've helped balance the trim width on both sides and provided more for the trim to grab on both sides vs just one side. I hung a very heavy, solid core wood 36" door and don't have concerns of its strength.
