If you own an RV you know that taking it in for service is a hassle and expensive with extensive wait times for a basic repair. This was the only available 2 1/2 inch hole outlet I could find at a very reasonable price. I didn't want to redrill or modify the original opening. Took 10 minutes to install. **Q: Can these be installed in a kitchen counter application, any requirements for being around a wet area say 3ft away from kitchen sink?**
A: it should be fine as long as it is plugged into a GFCI protected outlet.

A: Hi Mike Most all of the stuff we plug in is UL rated. You might take look at their web site and see if there is a contact e-mail or a phone number for more info. Hope this helps

**Q: Does the name imply this serves other unique functions?**
A: No its just sockets it doesn't pop up , 
You physically pull it up and push it down.

**Q: Are you sure the cut out is 2.95"? I have a 3" hole saw bit and it still looks small. I bought 2 of these to go through my granite top. $2500 if not.**
A: I actually need to drill a 3 1/4" hole for mine. I can send you some pics of mine with the tape measure pictured so you can clearly see. Send me your email address and I'll send you the pics if you'd like to see them. I always recommend waiting to do anything to granite until you have everything together. Mistakes are expensive!
