What I received was a solid piece of molded plastic with elevated squares in the corners. Maybe I am just ignorant of how to use a planter tray, but even if I were to take a drill or a saw or some other sharp implement to somehow remove these corner bumps, they would never be capable of plugging the hole afterwards. Plus, I noticed as I was taking pictures that the tray arrived damaged with one of its corners broken! The first one came in and wasn’t able to be used at all, broken around all edges and cracks through the bottom, so I requested a return. They were fast and responsive to getting me my money back and having a new one sent to me. Only problem is the second one came damaged too but it still works so I’ll just stick with this one.
