Ok, so the inverter itself appears to only produce rated output at around 24volts.I hooked up a 4 panel solar array (in parallel) to maintain the nameplate "10.5v to 28v" input volts of the inverter (my panels voltage output is 18.9volts.  I could only get the inverter to convert 400 watts of solar panels into about 190watts inverter output at noon in Phoenix, Az.So I hooked up two 12volt batteries in series (to get 24 volts) and it produced nominal (approximately 1000 watts).My panels (again in parallel) produce input voltage at 18volts, so I'm thinking this inverter is NOT MPPT at all!  Wiring my panels in series to increase the voltage (I tried this) yielded an input voltage of 36volt (well outside the "10.5v to 28v" range of the inverter and the inverter (correctly) rejected the voltage input.Soooo.... I'm scratching my head trying to figure out why this inverter doesn't like 18 volts to produce nominal wattage.  A 60% loss is unacceptable.  Alas, I had to buy a different inverter.If anyone has any ideas, please post here.  Thanks

Junk, don`t bother. It lasted about 20 minutes and then quit working, I have checked it over and can`t find the problem. I put a different brand grid tie inverter instead to my solar panels and it has been working flawlessly for many years now.  Yes this is a belated review, I just stumbled on it and noticed I had never reviewed it, so here  it is.
