DURAMAX Diesel EGR Block Off Plate 2004.5-2005 LLY Blocker Stainless Steel  You are purchasing a high quality STAINLESS STEEL part made on a CNC laser.  This plate eliminates the recirculation of exhaust gas into the intake.  Keeps soot out of the intake manifold and may improve engine performance!  This plate is simple to install and can be removed at any time.  15-20 minute installation time!  This block off plate is intended for Off road use ONLY!  Used to block exhaust from being reused as air intake. Can lower EGT’s and a possible gain in HP. Mainly used to keep the soot out of your intake manifold which can lead to other problems. Very easy to install and remove.  Item number: BP-MCM03 Size: 91mm*78mm  Material: 2mm 304 Stainless Steel  The main advantage of fitting the EGR blocking plate is to stop soot from the exhaust clogging up your inlet manifold. It redirects it all back out through the exhaust, where it was supposed to go. This also results in cleaner engine oil, which in turn prolongs the life of the engine and better fuel economy. It also causes the turbo to spool up quicker.
