I’ve been taking a higher daily dosage, due to trying to knock out a pinched nerve issue, which is improving more each day.I did a fair amount of research before settling on this brand, as Turmeric was new to me. --- The short story of what I found is that many brands provide a high amount of “Organic Turmeric” root powder, which is basically the same thing used in cooking. However, that powder by itself only contains about 2%-5% of the active ingredient, Curcumin, which is what provides the majority of the health benefits. In order to get higher levels of Curcumin that will be effective, the pill needs to have good amounts of “Turmeric Extract”. Many brands I looked at either did not list their Curcumin or if they did, the amounts were low. Turmeric and Curcumin have very poor Bioavailability and without assistance will most likely just run right through your system, without much positive impact. That’s why this product includes “Black Pepper Extract” (Bioperine), as this improves Bioavailability by 2,000% (not a typo).Finally, be careful when you review the labels. Many brands list their MG info, but it’s based on 2 or 3 capsules, not just 1. I found this brand presented the best ingredients and dosage in a single serving, at a reasonable price. I have been taking Turmeric Curcumin for over a month now and am starting to see some results. I have had issues with joint pain for a while now, due to some medical issues. Besides, I don't think I actually have rheumatoid arthritis and I don't trust that they won't try me on different drugs anyway. This combination is also great for controlling estrogen in men. When men get stressed, our cortisol goes up and can make men carry extra fat - especially around the belly. This combination is strong. Purly Grown's product is superior to the other brands that I have taken. I had to take two pills with Schwartz Bioresearch to get the same amouints of turmeric curcumin, bioperine and black pepper. The tumeric extract in Purely grown 50mg stronger than the same product by Schwartz Bioresearch. This is the main driver for anti-inflammation and controlling access estrogen.
