I ordered these socks for right calf swelling after an injury while wanting to avoid the $100-$125 pair of hospital grade TEDs (thrombo-embolic deterrent hose to be precise). I ordered this item as a compression sock to help correct swelling and edema of my right lower calf. At the time of order, my right calf was 22" in diameter and the XL/XW socks fit perfectly. I have worn them every day for over a week now (yes, I have washed them regularly...geez mom) and they show no signs of wear/fraying/thinning. The socks stay in position with no rolling/sliding down throughout the day. My only dislike is that the top 5 mm of the sock edge dig in to the top of my calf very slightly. I would repurchase this item without hesitation if needed again.I did not upload an image of my worn socks as I doubt you want to see my swollen hairy leg, but if you do want to see my hairy swollen leg...you might want to seek professional help...** I DID NOT receive this item at a free or reduced rate in exchange for this evaluation (i.e. I bought and paid for them out of my own wallet). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Check your order! *by C***K on Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2019* 5 Stars but...I had ordered Micodema compression socks a few times and wanted two pair as spares. More than a month had passed when I needed to use a pair. I found that 1 of 2 pair was NOT Micodema but another product, which did not fit and is unacceptable. So my bad because I didn't check my order? I don't think so. But, order them I did, and I'm glad. I needed compression socks due to swelling in my ankles. I was afraid these wouldn't fit, because, well, I'm 240 pounds and I wasn't sure I'd be able to get them on. They are snug, very snug, but with a little patience, they go on just as they're supposed to. Once on, they feel great, all over compression without squeezing the life out of me. Love the arch and ankle support. They come up on my leg nearly identical to the picture, and no deep grooves in my skin when I take them off. I wear them every day when I walk my dogs, and I can keep them on nearly all day and be comfortable. I bought the extra large, not the extra wide calf, after I measured my calf, which was, I think, 18 inches. Washed and dried them for the first time, and they did not shrink.
