About May if I remember correctly, A number of the seeds failed to germinate at all and the small seedlings were slow to grow. When they were large enough to be transplanted to 1 galllon containers I put them in the greenhouse I left them there through the winter so they could gain some size before being planted outside I plan to move them outside once they have put out foliage again this Spring the two that survived are vigorous looking plants that should grow well. **Q: Which growing Zone?** A: 7 **Q: How fast do they grow** A: Black locust grow fairly fast. However, it did not contain any instructions for planting the above seeds. I put the seeds in water for 12 hours, and then planted them, each separately. However, none of the 25 seeds sprouted. I bought two more packages of seeds, which did not contain any instructions either. I planted the seeds in a similar way as in the first case.
