And some of the pipes had to be seared to cut through the rust so they could be turned, removed and replaced with new ones. I watched as the worker used his propane torch. The flame seemed weak and it took about two minutes before the pipe began to glow red hot which indicated the rust was being burned through. We had another tight-fitting pipe problem, and I decided to save some money by fixing it myself. I bought this torch and attached it to a canister of MAP//Pro gas. Wow! What a difference. The flame was so powerful like it was being shot out of a jet engine. And I kid you not. the pipe was glowing red hot after only ten seconds.! The torch is very easy to use and a like the special locking feature that does not require the user to be constantly pressing down of a trigger. It has a good solid build and well designed.
