I didn’t expect this random black-and-white mobile to be my most valuable-ever purchase, but I can’t explain how much my two-month-old daughter is just obsessed with it. She’ll watch it for so long. She smiles, coos, and laughs at it. She doesn’t react to anything else this way, and my older kid definitely never responded to any of his more complex mobiles this way.Something about the high contrast and the spacing and movement of the shapes on this particular mobile is just perfect. We can put our crying potato down underneath it and know that once she unscrews her eyes, she’ll stop screaming and start smiling for at least 20 minutes. That’s a lot of peace for around $20. This makes me sound like a shill but I mostly want to help out more future moms because I wish I’d had this simple little thing during my first go around with motherhood.Am also on the page so I can purchase another to place in a second room so we don’t always have to go “She’s crying!!
