I wash my hair, then apply a small amount of conditioner, then wet my gloved hands and apply the mask, I left on for 15mins, but will leave longer next time, then rinse. It leaves your hair nice and shiny I do find it a little drying which is why I condition first. It does gradually wash out but I top it up every time I wash my hair. It was a light auburn/brownish tone on medium blonde hair. Although this is not for covering grey, It did refresh my flyaway hair until I could do a full colour. Should be enough for another 3 times on my short hair.
