Macro feature is a great bonus even though it is 1:2 and not 1:1. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is that it has no vibration/shake reduction and that it can be challenged during auto focus. I knew that those features would be lacking when I made the purchase and was prepared to deal with it - so I am not disappointed in the least. Just want others to know that you may need to adjust your technique to get the results you are after. If you are on a budget I would recommend this lens without reservation.
