Probably due to an already expired product. It probably would've worked, had it not been for that. Highly recommend that you check your dates on the bottom of the tub.I just received my package of this item today. I will need to try it out to see how it works. Honestly, if I did not need this now and didn't have to wait so long to get it... I would probably have returned it due to the simple fact that it is expired. The sticker says " Lot#17E004 Exp 05/19" on the bottom of it. I wasn't expecting an expired product. The product was clumped up inside and hard. It comes with a small scoop attached to the jar, plastic wrapped together. There is a slight fishy smell, but wasn't unpleasant. If I am having no luck in a few days. I will be returning this product and not buying again. It is also odd that it is not recommended for pets that are pregnant or nursing, because probiotics are supposed to provide good bacteria that basically any pet should be able to benefit from regardless of if they are pregnant or not.
